i began shooting over 20 years ago after someone had given me a canon ae-1 as a gift. since then i have gone through several changes in the field of photography as it has evolved into what it is today. from film and slide shooting, to the early professional autofocus slrs, to the era of digital that we are surrounded within now, i have found myself in an ever flowing stream where the only constant is change. the new digital darkroom has overtaken chemical-laden darkrooms

and taken us out of the ambient red glow and into a room filled with light and monitors that have instant gratification when editing instead of the slow, tedious and labor intensive methods of years gone by. this isn't to say that these methods don't still have a place to be used but from an accuracy and time saving standpoint, these are the best options available to any photographer in the field today.

 

i find myself spending more time in the field instead of behind a computer monitor as time and technology passes making the digital workflow more streamlined and efficient every day and i am a firm believer that they only way to improve your skills as a photographer is to be out shooting as much as possible.
